For over 34 years, Evangelist Mike Gendron was a devout Roman Catholic and a strong defender of the "one true church." He was taught from a very early age, to trust and rely on the church, its priests, the sacraments and his own good works for salvation. However in 1981 while attending an evangelical seminar, he realized the Bible is the supreme authority for knowing truth. His new excitement and hunger for the inspired word of God led him to help organize the very first Little Rock Scripture Study at a Catholic Church in Dallas. Mike soon realized that many of the teachings and traditions of the Catholic religion were not found in the Bible. After more study he discovered the Roman Catholic plan of salvation was diametrically opposed to the Gospel of grace revealed in the Bible. This lead to a crisis of faith. Should he trust Christ and His Word or the teachings and traditions of his religion? He knew he could not believe both. God granted him repentance and he exchanged his religion for a relationship with His all-sufficient Savior. After discerning that God seeks worshippers in spirit and truth, Mike left the Catholic Church in 1985 for a church where the true Gospel is proclaimed and Scripture is the final authority in all matters of faith and practice.
In 1988 he left a successful career in corporate management to study at Dallas Theological Seminary. Four years later, during his last semester at DTS, Mike and his wife Jane's love for Catholics inspired them to begin a ministry that would point Catholics to the Lord Jesus Christ as their all sufficient Savior. Their hearts are now burdened for those who may be where they were for most of their life - eternally condemned and not even aware of it.
As I was growing up in a devout Catholic home in rural New Mexico, I was thankful to be born into the "one true church." We were in church every time the doors were open, but I often wondered why my religion seemed rote and empty of any real meaning. After I graduated from Eastern New Mexico University, I was still going through all the religious rituals. When I heard the Gospel in my early twenties, I felt some relief. Not because I understood that I was hopelessly and helplessly lost and that the Lord Jesus took the punishment that I deserved, but because I always suspected Catholicism was legalistic with a lot of rules to follow. I gladly repeated the "sinners prayer" to save me from hell. Eventually I learned that I had fallen victim to another meaningless ritual. For the next ten years, very little changed in my life. As with most false converts, I was relying on the prayer I repeated to escape the fires of hell. After hearing the true Gospel of grace, God granted me repentence and I began following Christ in faith knowing He was sufficient to save me and keep me forever.
When my husband Mike first shared his burden to rescue victims of deception in the Catholic Church, my incredulous reaction was, "you are going to take on the Catholic Church?" His response was, "we will share the truth with all the Catholics the Lord brings across our path." Twenty-three years later, I rejoice in what the Lord has done with a couple of broken vessels. It is a privilege to share the glorious Gospel of Christ with anyone who is on the wide road to destruction.
Having grown up in the Roman Catholic Church, Evangelist John Fallahee believed his salvation was secured by good works and the sacraments. This left John hopeless since his works fell short of God’s perfect righteousness. John became a drunkard, attended a rehab, but later relapsed. In 1995, a friend reached out with the Gospel of Christ and the Good News of being saved by faith alone in Christ and His perfect work to atone for sin. God granted John repentance and faith in Christ and delivered him from his bondage to alcohol. Immediately, John had a hunger to know and obey God’s Word and share the Good News with others.
John earned an MBA and for many years witnessed in the workplace. John's passion to know the Word led him to Precept Ministries where he learned to study inductively and led Precept classes. He also received his M.Div. at The Master’s Seminary, and currently, is working on his Ph.D. at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in preaching and apologetics.
John also served in the Outreach/Missions department for five years at Grace Community Church. After completing his M.Div. in 2005, he has served at several notable institutions including Logos Bible Software, Precept Ministries, and AMG Publishers. In each of these positions, John’s focus was equipping others to know Christ with the end goal of sharing the Gospel so God would be worshiped and exalted rightly above all else. John currently lives in Green Bay, WI with his wife Stephanie and their three children.
